Boulder police officers arrested in shooting of Mapleton elk

THE (BOULDER) DAILY CAMERA

Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett announces that Boulder police officers Sam Carter and Brent Curnow were arrested Friday in connection with the Jan. 1 shooting of the Mapleton elk.

The officers are facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including attempting to influence a public official, forgery and official misconduct. 

The officers could face prison time.

Bond was set at $20,000 for each officer.
