Climber rescued after fall from Flatirons

Officials rescued a female climber from the First Flatiron on Monday after she fell 10 to 20 feet, according to a press release.

The climber, Doinita Nichols, 44, of Portland, Ore., injured her right ankle in the fall at about 11:05 a.m. Monday and was evacuated. She was taken to the Boulder Community Hospital for treatment.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Rocky Mountain Rescue, Boulder Fire Department and Boulder Mountain Parks Rangers assisted with the rescue.
