Locals join Armed Forces Community Run held in 10 countries
Local runners, military personnel and civilians, joined the Armed Forces Community Run at Peterson Air Force Base on Saturday morning. So did a 7-foot falcon.

It was all in good fun as runners took to 5K and 10K courses in support of the U.S. military.
The race, in its seventh year, was open to the community, and similar events were held at other bases around the world. Deployed airmen at Thule Air Base in Greenland, Cape Cod Air Force Station in Massachusetts, Cavalier AFS in North Dakota, Clear AFS in Alaska, Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, Thumrait Air Base in Oman and Manas, Kurdistan also planned to run, according to race officials.
