Let us tell the story of your first fourteener

THE GAZETTE

The first time you climb above the clouds, above that barrier of 14,000 feet that separates Colorado's 53 highest peaks from the rest of our summits, is a special occasion. The exhilaration, the exhaustion, the scenic beauty - you'll remember them for the rest of your life.

Are you planning your first fourteener? Out There Colorado would like to come along.

We'd like to interview and photograph you before, along the way and afterward, to help people who have never been there, or maybe people who haven't been there in a long time, remember what it's like.

If you have firm plans, email the dates and the peak you are planning to hike to news@outtherecolorado.com. If you don't have firm plans but may be climbing soon, give us a holler, too.

If you have already climbed your first fourteener but want to share your experience, tell us about it and send some photos.
