Give the huts a hand and earn a free night's stay

If you enjoy using the backcountry hut system or plan on trying it out soon, consider giving up a few hours this weekend.

The Summit Huts Association is looking for volunteers to work a few hours Saturday at the Section House and Ken's Cabin atop Boreas Pass.

You'll help prep the cabins for winter - splitting and stacking firewood and cleaning the cabins.

In return for a bit of sweat, you'll earn a voucher good for a free night at the hut.

And if you volunteer, don't forget your layers. It's going to be a tad chilly!
