Single-day lift ticket hits all-time high of $129

VAIL — One-day lift tickets to ski at Vail or Beaver Creek are now $129 for people who walk up to the window to buy them at the resorts.

That's a new record for skiing or snowboarding in Colorado.

Meanwhile, Aspen Mountain set its walk-up, single-day lift ticket price at $117.

People who buy in advance, online or for more than one day — or who can wait until after peak season to ski — can pay lower prices.

Vail and Aspen's last-minute lift ticket prices crossed the $100 mark during the 2010-11 season.

Vail and Beaver Creek lift tickets also let buyers ski or ride at Arapahoe Basin plus Vail Resorts Inc.'s other Colorado resorts, Breckenridge and Keystone.
