New clubhouse is a place for runners of all levels

THE DENVER POST

BOULDER — The new Hudson Training Systems clubhouse was created to help runners of all levels improve, but it also may help attract elite athletes to Colorado - or keep them from moving away.

The clubhouse has a shower, room to stretch, two treadmills, an exercise bike and other workout equipment and is next to the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, where athletes can get help with all aspects of their performance.

Its director is former elite runner Brad Hudson, and 15 to 20 professional athletes and about 30 semi-competitive runners have joined.

"We have everything they have," Hudson said of running meccas like Mammoth Lakes, Calif., and Eugene, Ore. "The goal is that we will have a fully supported elite team that will support the rest of the club. People are moving here already to train with us for fall marathons."
