Mud run is all about having good 'clean' fun
Looking for a fun twist to your weekend 5K?
Join the Fountain Valley Y's Family Mud Run on July 28 at John Metcalfe Park. Part of your entry fee will support programs at the Y and you can have fun at this wacky, all ages run.
What do you need to know? You'll get dirty. You'll laugh. You'll want to take photos of your family and friends.
See photos from a previous Mud Run!
Staggered starts begin at 9 a.m., and a mini mud run for kids ages 7 and younger will begin at 10:30 a.m. Race categories are: individuals 8 and older, teams of two ages 8 and older, and teams of four ages 8 and older.
Registration Cost (includes T-shirt)
• $10/Individual Mini Racer
• $35/Individual Racer; $30/Military
• $65/Two-person Team; $55/Military
• $120/Four-person Team; $105/Military
Runners should take their enthusiasm and wear clothing and shoes that you will not mind getting incredibly muddy. Costumes are encouraged.
You should take a trash bag for your race clothes and a towel to use while cleaning up. And a post-race change of clothes. Take plenty of fluids to keep hydrated and sunblock.
Leave your valuables - including any jewelry you would not want buried in mud - and your pets and strollers at home.
The park is at 704 E. Ohio Ave. in Fountain.
If you would like to volunteer, donate or sponsor this event, please call Rebecca Gallegos at 719.382.1563.
Online registration closes July 26:
