There's time to train for Jack Quinn's 5K Championship!
What better way to celebrate six years of pounding the pavement than with a championship run?
Jack Quinn's Running Club is holding its first Championship 5K on June 2 in Monument Valley Park, right about the time the group celebrates six years on the move.
As always, the Jack Quinn's Running Club welcomes people of all ages and skills levels, so if you simply run for fun, are just starting out, run with your dog or baby in a stroller, or you're just gonna be happy to finish a 5K at any pace, there's a fun run, too.
This group is all about fun and fitness.
There will be socializing, treats and prizes at 3 p.m. on June 2, followed by the Fun Run 5K at 3:30 p.m. The chip-timed championship 5K race begins at 5 p.m.
Anyone can run in either event, but only a Jack Quinn's runner who has earned a T-shirt can be crowned the champion.
Your championship race entry fee is dependent upon the number of JQ runs you've completed:
5K race less than 10 runs: $30
5K race 10-49 runs: $25
5K race 50-99 runs: $20
5K race 100-199 runs: $15
5K race 200+ runs: FREE!
5K Fun Run: $20
5K Fun Run ages under 12: FREE!
Race Day Registration: 5K Race / Fun Run: $35
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female runners in the championship race, as well as the top finishers in each age group.
Registration is available at the Jack Quinn's Run on Tuesday nights (at Falcon Physical Therapy on May 8), Boulder Running Co., on race day and online.
