Ski Breck, Loveland now - or wait till next season

After remaining open two weekends beyond its scheduled closing, Breckenridge Ski Resort prepares to call it quits Sunday.

To help lure skiers and snowboarders, there's free parking in the gondola lot through Sunday. There's also a gear sale on the snow at Peak 8.

Thirty-five percent of terrain remains open, including Freeway and Park Lane terrain parks. The Gold Runner Coaster also will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday.

Lift tickets are $50 if you don't have a season pass. EpicMix is in effect, but EpicMix Photos have been discontinued for the season.

Loveland Ski Area announced early this week that it will close early, on Sunday, due to poor snow conditions. Lift tickets have been discounted and skiers and riders with a season pass from another ski area get a special discount. See lift ticket details on the website.
