County and state park plans will be unveiled this week

** If you're interested in learning what is going on and what is planned for El Paso County's parks, plan to join a meeting Tuesday night at Bear Creek Nature Center.

Park officials have talked to local residents about our parks, trails, open space, and recreation programs, and they're ready to share what they learned.

You can add your two cents and discuss ways to implement the ideas.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 27) at Bear Creek Nature Center, 245 Bear Creek Road, in southwest Colorado Springs.

** If you're interested in reading the Red Rock Canyon Master Plan and commenting on it, please visit the Trails and Open Space website for a convenient link.

** If you're interested in learning more about the Cheyenne Mountain State Park Master Plan and proposed uses for new trails in the park, plan to attend an open house Wednesday from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the park's Visitor Center, 410 JL Ranch Heights Road.
