BLM is sharing photos from its 'critter cams'

THE GAZETTE

If you love seeing Colorado's amazing wildlife, you'll want to check out photos from the Bureau of Land Management's "critter cams."

Wildlife biologists at the agency's Royal Gorge Field Office placed cameras at water tanks, or “guzzlers,” used to manage grazing and increase water access for wildlife. The cameras have captured amazing close-up photos of animals as well as data the biologists can use - such as why animals may use a guzzler at certain times of the year, or not at all.

Biologists are sharing the photos of bear, mountain lions, elk, bighorn sheep, turkeys, bobcats, deer and other creatures on the BLM's Facebook, Flickr and Twitter pages.
