THE GAZETTE

Volunteers are needed for a special workday Saturday, June 16, at Palmer Park to repair damage from the recent hailstorms.

Work is scheduled from 8 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers will clean up trails, scoop out sand and pick up trash.

If you can't make it by 8 a.m., you can still join a work crew.

Wear appropriate clothes, and take work gloves, water, sunscreen and a hat.

If you have gear, such as a trash picker/scooper or shovels, they could be handy.

Snacks are welcome.

Children may work as long as they are well-supervised.

If possible, please register with Tom Howes, president of Guardians of Palmer Park, so he can organize work crews: guardiansofpalmerpark@comcast.net or 475-1824.
