YMCA is adding yurts to its forest camp

Snow Mountain Ranch, part of the YMCA of the Rockies camp, is adding five fully furnished yurts to its property, bringing to 12 the number of forest yurts in its village. It's also adding a picnic shelter and playground.

The yurts sleep up to six people and there is space for two campers on a tent pad outside, according to a report in the Sky-Hi News. This isn't roughing it. The yurts are equipped with a queen bed and two bunk beds, a microwave and a mini-fridge. There's a picnic table, fire ring and charcoal grill outside each.

Guests can use the rest of the camp's amenities, including miles of trails for hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, an indoor pool, tennis courts, an archery range, and a mini golf course. There are plans for a three-story climbing wall and an indoor archery range.
