FIBArk poised to take over Salida - on and off the water

It's time for that most Colorado of festivals: FIBArk!
The 64th anniversay of the nation's oldest whitewater festival - and Salida's signature event - FIBArk, or "First in Boating on the Arkansas," kicks off with a Chamber of Commerce shindig Wednesday. And it's pretty much nonstop events until Sunday night.
If you haven't been, get ready for a long weekend of fun in the sun and on the water. Riverside Park is FIBArk central. You can raft, kayak, stand-up padde, mountain bike, run, check out the barbecues, pancake breakfasts and beer fest, and listen to lots of live music.
